Garfield’s background was originally based in family run businesses. Garfield had the opportunity to study law at Staffordshire University in 2003 and whilst studying Garfield went to work with Paul Jenkins Solicitors on a two week work experience and never looked back. Garfield obtained a 2.1 honors degree in 2006 and achieved a commendation in his Legal Practice Course. Garfield qualified in 2009 and the rest is history. Garfield has worked with a number of leading firms in Staffordshire working from a trainee to the head of a large family department. Garfield prides himself on being able to provide a personalised service to all of his clients, from receipt of first instructions to conclusion. Therefore, providing his client’s with the assurance that the solicitor they have instructed is dealing with their case at all times.

Garfield is a member of STEP and is committed to resolving disputes in the least confrontational and costs effective way possible.

Where Court proceedings are unavoidable, Garfield has experience of representing his clients and conducting cases including children disputes, complex and high value financial matters, applications by grandparents and cohabitation dispute hearings at all levels. Garfield is also able to provide advice in relation to Wills, Probate and Lasting Powers of Attorney.

SARAH HARROD

Sarah has worked for the firm since 2015, before becoming practice manager she worked for the local authority managing the team in the visually impared child department. With her knowledge and ability to alter her role of how to work with the needs of each individual and management experience she became the perfect candidate to take on the role of practice manager here at Your Local Family Solicitors.

Sarah plays a vital part of the running of the firm, she is the main port of call for the mojority of enquiries whilst also managing the responsibilities of running a business and law firm.

ANDIE GOULD

Andie has worked for the firm since 2016, starting as an admin assistant just a few hours a week which quickly turned into a full time role as the firm grew. Being with the firm has enabled Andie to not only gain vital skills and knowledge of the legal sector but also she was able to complete her business management degree whilst working. She has been able to put that experience and knowledge learnt into her role here at Your Local Family Solicitors.

Now the Marketing and Admin Support coordinator of the firm, her role has expanded, managing the marketing and social media whilst still taking on her admin responsibilities.
